About the Teachers

Hannah Penn and Chris Noon are directors of Sheffield Yoga School.

Hannah and Chris are both full time, professional Yoga teachers. They qualified initially with the full 3 year British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Diploma Teacher Training Course.

The BWY is recognised as the governing body for Yoga in the UK.

They subsequently trained and qualified with Satyananda Yoga UK. Satyananda Yoga (now known as Bihar School of Yoga) is a complete system of Yoga. Its teacher training programme is rigorous and intensive and well known for the high quality of teachers it produces.

 

Hannah Penn (BWY Dip)

Hannah Penn teaches at Sheffield Yoga School

Hannah began practising yoga as a child in the 1970s.

She taught her first Yoga class in 1995 and has been teaching full time since 1998.

 

Hannah’s extensive training includes :

  • Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Course with Sannyasin Amarajyoti. (Hannah was a co-tutor on this course in 2012)
  • Yoga for Addiction (European Convention – Holland) with Swami Rishivivekananda & Swami Shankardevananda
  • World Yoga Convention : Finding Solutions of Life Through Yoga (France) with Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati (Head of the Bihar School of Yoga)

Chris has been practicing Yoga since the early 1990s.

Over the years he has been fortunate to learn from a wide range of inspiring Yoga teachers.

Laura Stanley

Laura started practising Yoga in 2011 when she was looking for something to help with anxiety. She found that Yoga did indeed help but soon realized that is had so much more to offer!

“I find that yoga and meditation help me find connection with my body, slow down and find space and calm in a busy world. I completed my teacher training with Yoga Campus in 2019.”
