In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of Needle Felting and create your own pet Seal!
What is needle felting?
Needle felting uses a barbed needle to form fleece into sculptural shapes.
The fleece we are using is from sheep on the Manish Croft in Isle of Harris, Outer Hebridies.
When you have learnt the basics you can sculpt anything with fleece, the only limit is your imagination and time
Make a seal
In this workshop you’ll be shown how to make a needle felt seal.
Once we have made the basic shape we will learn how to add features such as eyes and whiskers and maybe a Harris tweed scarf!
We’ll be taking our time so you can enjoy crafting in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.
When, Where, How Much?
The workshop will be held Sheffield Yoga School, an oasis of calm on South Road in the heart of Walkley.
It’s a great space to get creative!
This workshop is suitable for adults and children over 12.
No experience necessary.
The fee for the workshop is £20.
If you can’t afford the full fee let us know and you can pay what you can afford.
All materials are provided.
