Evidence is growing to support the importance of building muscle strength, especially as we age, and suggests that stretching has less benefits than we think.
Come prepare to explore the strength dimension on your mat? Are you up to the challenge?!
Lesley Dike
Lesley has been teaching yoga for many years and is also an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
She firmly believes that understanding relevant anatomy is vital to being a safe and competent teacher.
For many years she has used her knowledge and experience to help Yoga teachers to better understand the way the body moves & functions, and to apply that understanding to their teaching.
Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is part of our Essential Anatomy Training for Teachers programme and is designed for teachers and student teachers who want to build on their knowledge of anatomy and apply it in their Yoga teaching.
Lesley’s workshops are fun, fascinating, challenging and always informative!
Teachers from similar fields such as Pilates, as well as practitioners keen to deepen their understanding of anatomy, are welcome to join this workshop.

The venue : Sheffield Yoga School
The workshop will be held in Sheffield Yoga School on South Road.
There is parking on South Road or on one of the side streets in Walkley. South Road is also the main bus route through Walkley.
