Here’s a guide to the types of classes we teach :

Beginner Classes

Beginner classes teach the principles of how we approach our practice in this system of Yoga. They provide a grounding in the ‘foundation’ of movement / posture work, working with breathing, relaxation and meditation.

You should attend beginner (or Yoga for All) classes for about a year before joining an intermediate class.

Yoga for All

Yoga for All classes are designed to suit people with a range of experience. Daytime classes and most of the online classes are Yoga for All. Anyone can join these classes.

Intermediate

Intermediate classes are for people more used to Yoga and ready to go a bit deeper. There is a wider range of posture work, but also more breathing (Pranayama) practices, meditation etc.

Progress in this system of Yoga is not defined by attempting ever more complicated physical postures but rather in the way that we practice. We are always learning!

Vinyasa Flow

In vinyasa flow you will find yourself moving through a creative sequence of postures carefully linked with one another with the aim of unraveling different areas of your body and mind.

You’ll be encouraged to move beyond traditional yoga poses, explore your boundaries and play with fluidity. Increasing flexibility and learning more challenging positions and transitions over time.

Woven into each class will be breath work (pranayama), mudra, mindfulness meditation and guided relaxation.
