Freeing the Spine
with Bill Wood
13th & 14th March 2021
Grenoside Community hall, Sheffield
£140.00 (for 2 day course)
This is the first time Bill has taught a course for us in Sheffield and we are very pleased to welcome him. He is well known across the UK as an interesting and thought provoking teacher :
“Bill teaches in a way that encourages us to discover a more natural and easeful
way of working with our bodies. A way of unwinding more fully and freely into
yoga practices using less strain or force.”
About the Course
Healthy posture is never ‘held,’ but is more a loose and animated way of inhabiting the body, with a continuously moving spine at its core.
This weekend of yoga will experientially explore this theme, practising different ways of being more gentle and mindful and creative in our practice, so our deep holding patterns can start to release, and our natural spinal movements can start to re-emerge.
The yoga sessions will be asana based, with periods of relaxation and sitting practice woven in.
Who this course is for?
This course is for Yoga practitioners, teachers & student teachers and for anyone interested in developing their understanding and experience of healthy movement.
Places are limited to allow for discussion & individual supervision and so that we can dive deep into the practices!
The tutor : Bill Wood
A yoga teacher since 1994, Bill runs weekly classes in south Devon, and weekend workshops and retreats all around the UK.
