Meditation : A Path to Oneness
5 week online course with Chris Noon
Thursdays 7.30 – 8.30am
Starts 14th January 2027
Oneness is not a feeling, it is who we are beyond our thoughts and feelings.
Oneness practice is not just an internal journey. For real oneness practice we need to go out and be close to life, close to other people.

About the course
Yoga practice generally, and meditation in particular, is a path that leads to oneness.
Life can sometimes feel very fragmented. We are ruled by our hopes and fears, by worry, striving, anxiety, regret, things we like, things we don’t like. In meditation we sit with all of these experiences and we let them be. We find a space in which we see them for what they are and we stay still, quiet and unmoved.
Gradually another perspective reveals itself. Beyond the ups and downs of mood and mind we find our selves, open and at peace.

What the course involves
In this 5 week course we begin with practices of Pratyahara, focussing on sense experiences intensely to a point where we can leave them for a time and look inwards.
Then we turn our attention to the thoughts and feelings, hopes and fears, likes and dislikes, reactions, distractions, inspirations, moods, daydreams that make up the endless churn and movement of the mind.
This awareness is Drashta and through the practice of Drashta we come to a silence, a sense of harmony and oneness.
The sessions include some movement / posture, breathing and relaxation but the focus is on meditation.
Tools for living!
One-ness is not a detachment or rejection of the world. It is not an escape or a withdrawal from our lives. It is a harmony that is real and tangible, the bedrock of our being.
The meditation practices we use in this course are practical techniques – they are tools for living. They can be applied to any Yoga practice and to any sitting meditation, but they can equally be applied to our day to day work, interactions, relationships, activities.
Who is this course for?
This course is more for people with some experience of meditation practice but if you are new to Yoga and / or meditation you are welcome to take part.
It is for anyone who wants to develop an existing regular meditation practice, or who wants to develop a regular practice. The techniques, attitudes and perspective that make up this course are fundamental to any meditation practice.
You will need to be able to sit comfortably and we recommend using a chair if that is the most comfortable option for you.
Beginners are welcome but if you are new to meditation please contact us before booking a place.
