Outer Hebrides Yoga Retreats 2027

The beaches of Harris and the summer Machair flowers

Yoga Harris combines the raw, natural beauty and wide open space of the Outer Hebrides with the calm, quietness and inner space of Yoga. The combination is something special!

This year we held our first Yoga retreats on the Isle of Harris and they were wonderful. It felt like 30 years of Yoga teaching and 10 years renovating an old croft house had been leading up to these retreats. We’re looking forward to many more!

Yoga Harris retreats 2027

8th – 15th May

The start of the summer and we’re surrounded by new lambs, the moors are turning green, the cuckoos have arrived … May is a special month in the Hebrides and you’ll see why!

19th – 26th June

You’ll arrive with the full moon and then summer solstice a few days later. The days are long at this time and it never gets fully dark. The flowers are starting to bloom and our garden is full of orchids. The young otters are out in the bays learning to fish, the seals come in close to peer at you and the evenings stretch out as the light changes. In the fresh water lochs the waterlilies are opening.

17th – 24th July

July is the time of the Machair flowers and we’ll take you to the west of Harris to see them; there’s nothing like it, meadows full of flowers – clover, harebells, orchids, yarrow, vetch, trefoil, ragged robin … as far as you can see!

4th – 11th September

This is a quieter time in Harris, at the end of the season, a good time for reflection. The last of the heather is lighting up the hills and the nights are beginning to draw in. A clear night sky is full of stars, the way it’s always been, and you’ll see the milky way stretched out overhead.
