Pranayama Teacher Training Module – Autumn 2018
We are delighted to be hosting this wonderful course with Jean Lavers, one of our favorite teachers!
Jean teaches the Vasistha Method of Pranayama which promotes a natural and effortless approach to Pranayama without ratios or bandhas.
The Vasistha Method uses a full range of Classical Pranayama techniques in a way that is accessible to everyone. It really is a wonderful system of Pranayama; it is simple and effective and it leads practitioners into the heart of Pranayama.
The Vasistha Method is also very effective in Yoga Therapy.
Who is the course for?
The course is open to qualified Yoga teachers and student teachers. It will provide training in the practice and teaching of this complete system of Pranayama
The teacher : Jean Lavers
Jean is a very experienced teacher with an interest in using yoga as therapy. She has been a Diploma Course tutor training Yoga teachers for the British Wheel of Yoga.
Jean’s teaching has been strongly influenced by teachers from the Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Research Foundation, whose use of yoga as therapy and scientific approach to research appeals to her own interests.
About the Course
The course includes training & practice in a comprehensive range of Pranayama techniques, including sectional & full Yoga breathing with Mudras and Mantra.
There will be training in relevant asanas with a focus on how they enable a more subtle understanding of breathing and how they prepare for Pranayama.
Deep relaxation and Meditation techniques will also feature in the course, as well as the study of Prana and the Maya Koshas.
A guided home practice schedule will be given over the duration of the course.
A certificate will be issued on completion of this training module.

The course will be held in Sheffield Yoga School, South Road, S6 3TA.
The fee for the course is £270.00 and the deposit is £100.00.
